Evaluation

I have realised that I have not acted as much as I should have in this module. I managed to gain a small placement but have found it difficult to go back due to lack of studio space.
I should have emailed more studios and got my work out there much more, but I personally felt that my work was not at a good enough point and I wasn't fully happy with the standard it was at.

I intend on developing my online presence and finding out what type of designer I am, to produce stronger work that I will then be happy to send to potential employers.

Business cards..

I needs an identity, I have been thinking about it for ages.. and been trying things out, and each time I go back, I'm unhappy about it.. I'm looking at a simple logo, using my initials, NJ.. something that could be stamped, or put on my portfolio/website etc.. that instantly says, Nat Jackson..

Looking at using an 'N' and slicing through the middle which makes a 'J' at the end..

Still not completely right.. look at the letter as a shape..

I like this way.. maybe a bit too plain..

Some colours.. and within a shape.. need to look at different shapes.. and this will be seen throughout the stationary, to keep them all together..

Simple circle works best for me.. not keen on the zig zag effect.. see how I can make this work as a business card..

Really just realised its like the cartoon network 'N' .. NOT COOL!!

Found a similar typeface.. 'geddes'.. where the corners don't extend, but are still 'pointy'..

Looking at how the card would be interactive, turning upside down to read last name.. maybe experiment with typeface more, and how the layout on the card would make sure the person reads the first name first..

Change of plan.. whilst doing some doodles..

Idea is that the shapes represent the letter in NAT.. quite abstract, which I like, and I think will  look quite nice as a logo.. this can be used as a pattern for the back of the business card, and maybe in different colours..
